(There are two types of nouns: common nouns & proper nouns.)

A common noun refers to a general person, place, or thing.

As we are simply referring to any old giant moth we use a common noun, "moth".

A proper noun refers to a specific person, place or

thing.



Because we're talking about a specific giant moth, Mothra, we use a proper noun
